How dose it work?

It will start off where we’ll meet you on board and get all the necessary information, go through the vessel and agree on a schedule/plan and check points, any necessary add-ons, and of course show you how to access the logs and agree & sign contract.

When preparing for the winter we can help you remove sails, taking them to the local sail maker, or other sail makers may collect from our base. We’ll perform a thorough rigging inspection with report so that any work can be undertaken before the season to come. When getting ready to sail we’ll help you bend the sails on and tune the standing rigging for the seasons sailing.

Throughout the year we’ll also perform and log monthly and quarterly checks covering the most vital points, keeping tabs on the health of your sailing boat. We’ll make sure to log/report back any issues straight away so if required action can be taken or you can get in touch with your preferred trades-person and of course you’ll have our keenest attention for any rigging requirements.

Who is it for?

We appreciate that many of you are already performing thorough maintenance and checks of your yacht, so this might not appeal to everyone, and of course all of our services are still available on an individual basis. However all too often have we seen in marinas, boats rubbing as a mooring lines have chaffed through or sail covers torn and blowing in the wind.

Not only do we feel there any many benefits from the upkeep of a 3rd party maintenance/check & log to maximize readiness and safety for owner’s, marina’s and insurance companies alike… we also feels this might particularly appeal to;

• Sailors who live far away from their vessel so are unable to check it at such convenience
• Sailors who are new to sailing and might find the prospect of looking after a vessel a bit daunting
• Sailors with larger vessels and just need that extra hand to keep it shipshape
• Commercial and charter yachts looking to keep a detailed maintenance record

How much will it cost?

We understand that every vessel and owners requirements will be different, so we want to come up with a plan that best suits your needs. We likely wont be able to check you boat every month as you’ll be out sailing, or it will be stored on land…. so the base plan is based upon x9 of the monthly checks and x3 quarterly checks, then from there additional items and checks maybe added to your plan. Or these can be bought individually along the way.

The annual base plan cost is £??+vat per meter of length over all (LOA)

We can then work out a payment plan to invoice that works best for you! Spreading the cost over the year.
